The Quest Log ❓➡️ ~ Taking a Break For Now

Hey everyone, Just a quick heads-up — I’ll be hitting the pause button on the blog for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Exams are coming in hot, and as much as I’d love to keep writing, posting, and sharing the random little things I’ve been obsessing over (you know I’ve got a backlog), I need to give studying my full attention right now. I didn’t want to just disappear without saying anything, especially since this blog has become such a fun part of my week. But don't worry — this is definitely not goodbye. As soon as exams are done, I’ll be back with fresh stories, controversial opinions and debates, ghiblified friends, obscure knowledge I have no business knowing, and, of course, my chaotic progress tracking. Thanks for being patient with me and sticking around. Wish me luck (and pray I remember how chemical bonds works 😂). See you soon — smarter, hopefully. Peace Out,✌️ Raid.

Flashback Friday 📸 ➡️ ~ The Shift 🤯

Image
Usually, Flashback Fridays are for something interesting that happened within the last seven days, which technically makes this post about a week late—but there’s no way I’m letting this one slide without talking about The Shift. The Shift is an original play brought to life by a collaboration between my university’s equivalents of a theatre and a dance club, performed during our annual Drama Night. When I first heard about the program, I had my doubts—but a friend convinced me to check it out… and I’m so glad I listened. 🤯 Drama Night happened last Thursday, and let me tell you—it was so good that the entire audience was cheering and shouting in excitement. They laughed, gasped, screamed, and applauded exactly when they were supposed to. It was just that amazing. So far, it’s the best event I’ve attended since getting into this university. The setup was clean and well-organized, and the play itself was brilliantly executed. Any scenes that couldn’t be performed live on stage wer...

Know-it-all 101🎓 ➡️ ~ Colour Theory

Image
Ever had that moment when you realize something you’ve known for years—maybe even decades—is completely wrong? Well, that’s exactly what happened to me when I learned about Colour Theory. And chances are, it's about to happen to you too! No matter who you are, you were definitely taught (whether you remember it or not) that the three primary colours of light are red, blue, and green, while their secondary colours are magenta, cyan, and yellow. You were also taught that the primary colours of matter are red, blue, and yellow, while their secondary colours are purple, green, and orange. But have you ever wondered why light and matter have such different primary colour palettes that seem to have little to no relationship with each other? Well, I can tell you why: it's because the colour theory of matter is completely wrong! Here’s how mixing colours works: when you mix colours with light, you’re adding them, but when you mix colours with matter, you’re subtracting from them. That...

Hear Meowt 🙏➡️ ~ AI taking over the world isn't necessarily a bad thing 🤔

Image
Alright, I know this sounds wild, but Hear Meowt 🙏: AI taking over the world might actually be the best thing to ever happen to humanity. Yeah, I said it. People hear that phrase and instantly picture some Hollywood horror—killer robots, mind control, Skynet-type apocalypse. But that’s fiction. The real potential of AI isn’t destruction—it’s optimization. Imagine a world where decisions are no longer made based on greed, bias, or ego, but by systems that have the entire planet’s data and well-being in mind. Sounds a little utopian, sure—but is it any crazier than trusting the chaotic mess that humanity has made of the world so far? Before I go any further—while I still believe that AI taking over our government could be incredibly beneficial to humanity—I also believe that the right to rule humans should remain with humans (even if we’re terrible at it). That said, I’m absolutely certain that AI taking over the global economy is a brilliant concept—both inevitable and immensely benefi...

Talkative Tuesday 🤓 ➡️ ~ Reflective Intelligence

Image
I'm a really big fan of Artificial Intelligence (since long before it became trendy), and I’ve always been fascinated and impressed by its recent advances and developments. However, there’s one part of AI that I personally feel hasn’t been fully explored. I’m not entirely sure of the proper term for it, but I like to call it reflective intelligence. Essentially, the idea is that an AI model could study a human subject—how they make decisions—and search for logical patterns in those decisions. The AI would then use those patterns to make choices of its own, ideally replicating the decisions that specific person would’ve made under the same circumstances. In the TV series The Flash, Cisco actually pulled something like this off. He created an algorithm called The B.A.R.I. (Barry Allen Replicated Intelligence—brilliant name, by the way). It studied Barry’s decision-making using all the data Cisco could gather, and it used those patterns to make new decisions. The algorithm was so go...

Buddy Spotlight 🫂 ➡️ ~Laila

Image
Today, I’m really excited because I’m publishing my first-ever blog post, officially snipping the golden ribbon with a pair of scissors 🎗️✂️. I’m glad to finally launch this blog and set off on this yet-to-be-defined journey 😁😁 That being said, let’s get on with today’s beeswax. If you’ve read the How This Blog Works page, then you already know what happens on Mondays: it’s time for our very first Buddy Spotlight 🫂  episode/chapter/whatever. (And if you haven’t read that page, you should probably check it out.) So, without further ado, it is with great pleasure I present to you the star of today’s spotlight: Laila!  Who else deserves the honor of being the very first to step into the spotlight, if not the one who gave me the most support to bring this blog to life? Laila offered tons of emotional support and just the right dose of motivation for me to finally get this started. So I’m more than happy to talk about her today. Have you ever seen someone from afar, made ...
