Buddy Spotlight ๐ซ ➡️ ~ Chris
Today’s Buddy of the Week is someone I’ve known for quite a while now—Chris. Just a few days ago, he officially graduated high school, which is a big deal, but to be honest, I’ve always felt like Chris was ahead of his years. He’s the kind of person who just has this natural maturity, not in a boring or “too serious” way, but in how he carries himself, how he treats people, and how he always seems to know how to bring the right energy to any room he’s in.
We met through choir back when I was still in high school. I was a chorister then, and so was he. We were both channel singers, which basically means we spent a lot of time standing side by side, singing our hearts out. That’s how our friendship started, but it’s definitely not the reason it stuck. Over time, you start to realize Chris isn’t just a good singer; he’s a really good person. He’s warm, friendly, and just easy to be around. You can have a deep conversation with him, but at the same time, he’s also the guy who will randomly crack you up with a one-liner you didn’t see coming. His sense of humor is very chill—he’s not loud or showy with it, but trust me, you’ll be laughing.
One thing that always stood out to me about Chris is that he strikes a rare balance between being slightly shy and quietly confident. When you first meet him, he might come off as reserved, but give it a little time and you’ll see how sure of himself he really is. He’s not the type to force attention, yet people are naturally drawn to him. Maybe it’s because he’s genuine. Or maybe it’s just because he’s got that calm, collected aura that makes people feel at ease.
And let’s not ignore the obvious: Chris is photogenic. Like, ridiculously photogenic. He’s one of those people who can casually walk into a group selfie and somehow look like he’s doing a professional photoshoot. No special angles, no filters needed. His vibe is very much “effortless cool,” and honestly, it suits him. I’ve seen him in random candid shots where everyone else looks chaotic, and Chris is just there, looking like a magazine cover. He's just like Laila!
Chris, you’ve been one of the most real, most steady people I’ve had the pleasure of calling a friend. Watching you graduate feels surreal because it feels like the world is only just about to discover what the rest of us already know. You’re not just talented, you’re not just photogenic, you’re not just funny—you’re a genuinely good person, and that’s rare.
Congratulations again, man. You’ve made us proud. And I can’t wait to see what’s next for you.
