Buddy Spotlight 🫂 ➡️ ~ Aria

Ever met one of those people where the more you get to know them, the more fascinated you become? Well, that’s Aria for you, our star of today’s spotlight.

Aria is one of those rare people who just seems to overflow with creativity. She’s a natural artist in every sense of the word. Whether it’s sketching anime and comic styles with insane precision, or putting together music that feels like it came straight from her soul, she’s constantly making something beautiful. Being around her, you almost feel guilty for not picking up a pencil or an instrument yourself, just to keep up.

But Aria isn’t just about the arts, she’s got her head in the stars too. Literally. Astronomy is her second language. She’ll casually drop facts about constellations or planets like it’s the most normal thing in the world, and you can’t help but get drawn in. Talking to her makes you realize that the universe is so much bigger than yourself, and somehow she makes that thought comforting rather than overwhelming.

What makes her special, though, isn’t just her talents, it’s her heart. Aria is deeply friendly and emotionally tuned in. When it counts, she feels things fully and makes sure you feel seen too. That mix of creativity and compassion makes her the kind of person you want in your corner, whether you’re chasing dreams or just having one of those heavy days.

Of course, she’s also the kind of friend who’ll roast you with zero hesitation. She calls me Megamind. Yes, that Megamind. Because apparently I’ve got the same head shape and the same mix of being “tick-wise intelligent” but “dumb in every other way.” She even drew a version of Megamind that she swears looks like me (I beg to differ 😒). She even exaggerated some of my peculiar facial features into the drawing that even my ghiblified photo couldn't capture like the jaw and eyebrows. And just like Megamind, who claims to be evil but deep down always finds a way to do what’s right when it matters, she insists I’m the same. If only she knew 😈.

At the end of the day, Aria is proof that being multi-talented doesn’t mean you have to be distant or unapproachable. She’s warm, hilarious, brilliant, and the kind of friend you don’t take for granted. I’m lucky to know her (and even luckier that her Megamind drawing didn’t turn into a full-blown comic series at my expense).
